Feed Supplements- Is it necessary?
Feed supplement on daily basis may not be required for your dog as long as your dogs are consuming balanced food. This food can be a natural food, vegetarian food and non-vegetarian food. Some people do follow vegetarian diet suggestion and many people don’t. We, the human beings know the need and importance of daily presence of vitamin and other nutrients in our food. The same concept has to be followed in the inclusion of feed supplement in the diet of the dogs. As our beloved pet, the dogs have every right to have a food that is rich in nutrient supplements. Each and every dog, irrespective of their age needs high quality food and high quality nutrient supplements to keep the fit and healthy. We need to a point in our mind that each animal [dog] is different as far as nutritional requirements are concerned. The natural dog food is very much appreciable. The dog food should contain sufficient protein as the proteins are building blocks of its body. For this, inclusion of chicken and other meats that are rich in proteins is necessary. We can also add carrots, cabbage, and fruits like apples. It is better to avoid the by- products both from meat industry. We can also avoid grains like wheat, corn and dairy products like cheese, butter etc. There should be strict no to artificial flavors, artificial colors and any kind chemicals preservatives which may try to get an entry in to the dog food for commercial reason There are many commercial dog food [life’s abundance food for dog] are available. Many of such branded commercial preparations contain nutrients in total compliance with the recommendations of Association of American feed control officials. Those dog foods contain sufficient vitamins, good quality minerals, and fatty acids that are required for the health of the dog. These branded foods contain human consumption grade chicken, eggs, and fish. They also contain vegetables, fruits and other natural anti oxidants like extracts of grape seed. Vegetarian
diet suggestion is not the only answer for keeping the dog fit
and healthy.
