HGE is Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis and it is usually a disease found in dogs. The usual symptom for this HGE is a bloody diarrhea. This disease is usually identified when the vet can rule out any other causes for bloody diarrhea. The vet may also diagnose your dog with HGE if your dog suddenly suffers from bloody diarrhea and a high packed cell volume (PCV).

The vet will request diagnostic procedures to be done on your dog if your dog has acute and recurrent vomiting and diarrhea. If you see these symptoms in your dog, it is best to bring your dog to the vet as fast as you can. Continue reading
